Loving the Unlovable is out in the Wild

Loving the Unlovable sits with other books in a free lending library.

The room isn’t so much a room as a large cubicle designed to look like a small cafe. Two tables sit under the large windows, which provide a splendid view of the roof. The downside of working in a large complex. Two large comfy chairs sit in a corner of the room, opposite a slightly larger table with chairs. But the thing I came to see, tucked in the corner behind the large table, was the small bookcase. Once white, it now has a dingy grey hue. Several well-worn books lay in stacks on the top.

I don’t know who started the small lending library, but it feels like it’s been there forever. The books look well loved in every way. Worn edges and faded covers show that people read, and re-read over and over. It’s also what makes Loving the Unlovable stand out. It’s not worn. The sharp edges and creaseless spine make it known the book is new. Eventually, it will look like the other books as people find it on the shelf. At least I hope it will be.

Waiting to see if Loving the Unlovable thrives in the wild will take time and patience. Time I have. Patience, not so much. I want people to enjoy the book. I want them to find something in it that helps them, entertains them, or just takes their mind off of their day-to-day issues.

If you want your own copy of Loving the Unlovable, it’s available on Amazon. To read more about my writing, check out the links on my blog.
