When writing my first few fiction novels, I didn’t have a story coach. I struggled with how to plot the story, asked friends for feedback, and spent a lot of time trying to stay organized. Through that process, I mastered several specialized novel plotting techniques, including popular frameworks like Plot Grids, Save the Cat, and Dan Harmon’s Story Circle.
Figuring out these methods, and how to customize them for my stories, was a game-changer for me. Today, they form the foundation of my work as a story coach. What is a story coach? It means I help authors turn their ideas into structured, memorable stories.
One size fits none
There is no one-size fits all method for writing. Each author has their own way of processing the plot, and each story has its own needs. Because of this, I customize each session to find the structure that best suits your genre, writing style, and goals.
How a Story Coach can help
I can show you how to develop character arcs using Dan Harmon’s Story Circle. We can create a customized Plot Grid, to help untangle multiple POVs or sub-plots.
Whether you need a detailed Three-Act structure to manage your story’s flow, or a 60-Minute Plot structure to help you quickly determine the core of your story, my goal is to simplify the complex process of organization.
What I offer
Coaching packages are customizable to fit your project and budget. I offer sessions via Zoom for flexible scheduling.
